We are pleased to be your provider of choice to help you get the medical care you need. Please note that all patients requesting procedures through our Endoscopy Center must first be seen by one of our Doctors at our Gastroenterology Center.
Appointments
To book an appointment with one of our Doctors call the Gastroenterlogy Center at (404) 255-4333 during our regular office hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 p.m.
If you would like to request an appointment with Dr Curtis or Dr Shapiro, you may use their Online Booking Tool.
If you feel you need to be seen urgently, please call early in the morning enabling us to work you into the schedule as soon as possible.
Coverage is provided after-hours and on weekends. Our answering service will contact the physician on call. If your condition is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be received no later than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. All “same day” cancellations and “no show” appointments will be charged a $50 fee.
Prescriptions/Refills
Please call your pharmacy and have them contact us during regular business hours for any approved refills. We will refill prescriptions within 48 hours of receiving a call from your pharmacy during our regular business hours. Metro Atlanta Gastroenterology physicians will not authorize refills during after hours, weekends, nor will they refill another physician’s prescription. We will not call in refills, unless you have been seen within the last year.
Insurance
You are personally responsible for all services provided by our physicians. We are glad to assist you by participating in a number of insurance contracts. However, it is your responsibility to know what type of insurance you have and the type of coverage it provides. It is your responsibility to know what your insurance covers. If you do not inform us of any special requirements and services are subsequently not covered, you are still personally responsible for your bill. Please do not hesitate in contacting our billing office at 404-255-2781 with any questions you may have regarding your bill.
Self Pay Rates
These rates apply only for those individuals not filing insurance and those paying in full at the time of service or scheduling.
Office Visits
New Patient/New Problem: $200
Existing Patient/Follow-up: $100
Endoscopy Center Procedures
Fees include anesthesia, facility and physician charges.
Colonoscopy: $1600
EGD: $1400
Colonoscopy and EGD: $2100
Biopsy
Pathology Services are provided by SouthEastern Pathology, PC and are not included in the fees above. Please call them if you have a biopsy to inquire about their self pay program at 800-225-8702 or 706-291-6514.
